This Karate kata was created by Tetsuhiko Asai, the founder of the International Japan Martial Arts Karate Asai-ryu (IJKA), and Japan Karate Shoto-Renmei (JKS). Dai Ni Ken is used by a limited number of Shotokan Karate organizations such as the IJKA.
