Axe Kick – Krav Maga

This page provides details on the Krav Maga axe kick. This kicking technique is used to strike high targets (i.e. an opponent’s collar bone). However, a martial artist needs to be very flexible to master this kick and reach a high target. Also this kick needs to be used in the right situations (i.e. an opponent who has stumbled) because an axe kick can leave a person wide open for attack (i.e. a strike to the groin while the leg is high in the air).
