Boat Pose - Yoga for Martial Arts Flexibility & Core Strength

This page provides details for the Boat Pose. This Yoga exercise is used by martial arts students in order to stretch their back, hamstrings, hip flexors, etc. The Boat Pose is also an excellent strength training exercise for increasing your core strength. Improved core strength results in stronger kicks, punches and grappling techniques.

All stretches and exercises should be supervised by a trained instructor in order to prevent injuries and to ensure the proper technique is utilized.
