Calf Raises for Better Martial Arts Kicking Power

This page will teach you how to do a "Calf Raise". This exercise will improve your leg strength and thus will help you to generate stronger martial arts kicks. This exercise is also used by many martial arts in order to avoid shin splints.

Martial artists also try to strengthen their calves in order to better manage the impact of an opponent's calf kick against their calf muscles.
