Please vote on whether "Does Olympic sparring hurt or help Taekwondo's image as an effective form of self-defense?". Some think that Olympic rules & regulations hurts Taekwondo as they move Taekwondo away from its historic self-defense roots. Others thinks it helps because Taekwondo gets worldwide TV exposure, shows off exciting martial arts techniques, etc.
