How to use a Strike to the Nose in Self-Defense Situations

This page focuses on strikes to the nose in self-defense situations (i.e. rape prevention). The instructional videos below provide a variety of different ways that nose strikes or attacks are used in self-defense.

Many of these self-defense targets (i.e. groin or eyes) are illegal in martial arts sparring competitions. However, they are useful in self-defense situations. Nose strikes often utilize a palm strike, straight punch, hammer fist or a grab.

These attacks on vital areas should only be used in life or death situations as you can severely injure your opponent.

For more instruction, please visit the Vital Points, Strikes & Punches and Self-Defense sections.
