Medicine Ball Chop or Wood Chop - Martial Arts Strength Training
This page will teach you how to do a Medicine Ball Chop or Wood Chop. This plyometrics exercise will improve your arm, shoulder and core strength. As a result, this twisting medicine ball drill will also help your punching power and grappling techniques. This exercise is done with the ball raised straight up and own. However, you can also do a medicine ball diagonal chop for a greater oblique workout.
