Learn About Krav Maga's Mouth of Hand Strike

This page provides details for the Krav Maga "Mouth of Hand" strike. This Krav Maga strike is basically an upwards hammer fist where you hit an opponent with the top of your fist (where the thumb and forefinger meet). You are not hitting with your knuckles or the bottom portion of your hand (as in the regular hammer fist) or the back of your fist (as in the back fist strike).

The mouth of hand strike is used to hit targets such as an opponent's chin. However, this strike is much less effective than a standard Krav Maga upper cut.

For more Krav Maga punches & strikes, please visit the main Krav Maga Techniques section.

Unfortunately, we have not found a good video for this technique yet!
