Neck Circles - Martial Arts Stretching Technique
This page provides details for a stretching technique known as Neck Circles. This stretch is also known as Neck Rotations, Neck Rolls, etc. This neck stretch is used by martial artists in order to prepare for activities that might strain the neck (i.e. grappling). While popular with many martial artists, neck circles are slightly controversial due to potential pressure on the neck if done improperly.
All stretches should be supervised by a trained instructor in order to prevent injuries and to ensure the proper technique is utilized.
