Pull-Ups - Martial Arts Strength Training

This page will teach you how to do "Pull-Ups". This upper body exercise works primarily on your arms, upper back, shoulder muscles, etc. Pull-ups will improve your martial arts punching and grappling strength. This exercise involves grabbing a pull-up bar with two hands and lifting yourself off the ground until your head reaches the height of the pull-up bar.

A pull-up differs from a chin-up because your palms face outwards when on the bar. In contrast, for a chin-up, your palms face inwards when on the bar.
