Reaction Balls for Martial Arts Agility & Quickness

Reaction balls are used to develop better reaction speed, agility, footwork, hand-eye coordination, lateral movement and overall "quickness". A reaction ball is a small rubber ball covered with lumps that help to create erratic bounces when the ball hits a surface. Martial artists use reaction balls in order to practice quickly shifting direction in order to retrieve the erratic reaction ball.

All stretches and exercises should be supervised by a trained martial arts instructor in order to prevent injuries and to ensure the proper technique is utilized. For additional agility drills (i.e. agility ladder drills), please visit the main Martial Arts Agility section.
