Rotational Jumps - Martial Arts Warm-Up & Strength Exercise
Rotational jumps are used in martial arts for warm-ups and to help improve a martial artists's core and leg strength. It also improves a martial artist's ability to turn quickly in order to handle an opponent.
This exercise involves jumping and rotating your body in the air so you land facing 180 degrees from your original starting point.
All stretches and exercises should be supervised by a trained instructor in order to prevent injuries and to ensure the proper technique is utilized. For additional drills, please visit the main Warm-Up Exercises and Physical Fitness sections.
