Instructions for a Round Knee Strike (Lateral or Horizontal Knee Strike)

This page provides details on how to do an effective round knee strike. This technique is also known as a lateral knee strike, horizontal knee strike, curved knee strike, etc.

Knee strikes are used when you are too close to an opponent to use a regular kick. You will often see mixed martial arts or Muay Thai fighters use knee strikes when they are grappling or clinching with an opponent.
