Instructions for the Seated Twist Pose - Yoga for Martial Arts Flexibility

This page provides details for the Seated Twist Pose. This Yoga exercise is used by martial arts students in order to stretch their backs. This will help to improve your flexibility for kicks, punches and grappling techniques.

Other back stretches include Bow Pose, Camel Pose, Cat Stretch, Cat-Cow Stretch, Cobra Stretch, Downward Facing Dog, Plow Pose, Upward Facing Dog, etc. All stretches and exercises should be supervised by a trained martial arts instructor in order to prevent injuries and to ensure the proper technique is utilized.
