Shintaro: The Samurai – TV Series

Shintaro: The Samurai was a very popular Japanese TV series that ran in Australia in the 1960s. It focused on an illegitimate brother of the Shogun who assumes the guise of a wandering swordsman in order to “seek out and eliminate plots by rival feudal lords and thus protect his younger brother”. Be aware that samurai movies may not be appropriate for younger children given the bloody swordplay in many of these movies.
