How To Do A Spinning Side Kick - Martial Arts Kicking Technique

This page provides details on how to do a spinning side kick or reverse side kick. The spinning side kick is similar to a spinning back kick. However, your foot/leg is kicked laterally in the spinning side kick versus kicking like a "mule" with the spinning back kick.

Moreover, in contrast to a standard side kick, you will step forward and spin your body backwards before throwing your side kick. This spin will generate extra momentum and thus allow you to throw a more powerful kick.
