Taijutsu is the term used for the unarmed combat techniques used in the Japanese Martial Arts system known as Ninjutsu or Ninpo. Taijutsu is closely related to Jujutsu in that it incorporates blocks, strikes and throws as well as evasive techniques that are combined in order to escape from or to defeat an opponent.

Taijutsu also incorporates elements of Tai Sabaki alongside elements of surprise attack and more traditional kicks and punches though it does include blocks and strikes that are only taught in relation to Ninjutsu.
