Tuck Jumps – Plyometric Exercise

This page explores “Tuck Jumps”. This plyometric jumping exercise is used to improve a martial artist’s leg strength. In turn, increased leg strength can help to generate stronger martial arts kicks. Martial artists use many different type of exercises (i.e. plyometric and weight training) in order to improve their overall strength and the power of their punches and kicks. For additional exercises used by martial artists, please visit Black Belt Wiki’s main Conditioning and Strength Training sections.

All stretches and exercises should be supervised by a trained martial arts instructor to ensure the proper technique is being utilized and to avoid potential injuries.
