Learn Karate's Ura Ushiro Mawashi Geri or Spinning Heel Kick
This page provides details on how to do Ura Ushiro Mawashi Geri or Spinning Heel Kick. This Karate kick is also known as a spinning hook kick, spinning wheel kick, etc. In Japanese, it is also known as Ushiro Ura Mawashi Geri.
This is not a traditional kick in many Karate schools. Nevertheless, this is a powerful kick given the momentum behind the spin and the hard bone of the heel. It is used for knockouts in Kyokushin tournaments.
