When The Last Sword Is Drawn is a highly rated 2003 samurai movie that focuses on a samurai willing to do anything for his family. This martial arts movie won the Best Film award at the 2004 Japanese Academy Awards. The film also received Japanese Academy Awards for Best Actor (Kiichi Nakai) and Best Supporting Actor (Kōichi Satō). Be aware that samurai movies may not be appropriate for younger children given the bloody swordplay in many of these movies.
