Foot-to-Foot Crunches

Foot-to-Foot Crunches – Martial Arts Strength Exercise

This page looks at the strength training exercise known as Foot-to-Foot Crunches. These crunches are an exercise used to build up core strength as they work on oblique and ab muscles. They also improve rotational power and thus help martial arts kicking and punching strength.

With this exercise, a person will lay down on the floor and try to touch one heel at a time. For another core exercise focused on obliques, martial artists also use oblique or side crunches.

All and exercises should be supervised by a trained martial arts instructor in order to prevent injuries and to ensure the proper technique is utilized. For additional core exercises, please visit the main Martial Arts Strength Training section.
